This morning I spotted a really solid new Amex Offer available on two of my American Express Cards that I wanted to mention in case you have any upcoming Marriott stays through the end of February.
If you have this Amex Offer on one of your American Express cards (read this post to learn how to check for Amex Offers if you aren’t sure), you can earn 4,000 bonus Membership Reward points when you enroll for the offer and use the enrolled card to pay for $300+ in Marriott room rates or room charges from 12/15/2017 – 2/28/2018. What is cool and somewhat unusual about this Amex offer is that it isn’t valid at just one brand within the Marriott family, but instead it is valid at JW Marriott, Autograph Collection, Renaissance Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Delta Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, AC Hotels by Marriott, Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, TownePlace Suites, and Moxy Hotels.
This does exclude Ritz Carlton, EDITION, Marriott Vacation Club, Bulgari, Marriott Executive Apartments, Protea Hotels, and SPG brands. It is valid only at eligible Marriott brands in the US and US territories.
In addition to it being valid at all sorts of Marriott properties within the US, I also love how this Amex Offer can be useful even if you are staying on points, but have lots of other meals, parking, and ancillary expenses you charge to your room. For example, at the Gaylord Texan where we just went a few weeks ago, you may be staying on points but then spending more than you wish on the resort fee, parking, meals, and all the amazing holiday activities. Those expenses charged to the room could trigger the $300 minimum to use this Amex Offer and earn the 4,000 bonus Membership Reward points that I value north of $60.
I recently wrote a post on which credit card is best to use when paying for a Marriott stay, and if you have access to this offer on one of your Amex cards, then that is absolutely the card I would use for your first $300 in Marriott charges through February 28, 2018!
