A great Amex Offer that I know lots of us have on our Amex Cards is a Google Express deal that is expiring on 12/28/2017. This is the sort of deal that is easy to lose in the shuffle, but it’s absolutely worth using before it expires if you have it available on any of your Amex cards. This Amex Offer awards 2,000 bonus Membership Reward points on a $50+ purchase on Google Express. I have to admit I hadn’t heard of Google Express before this offer appeared on my Amex accounts, but it is actually pretty cool. Google Express has a collection of retailers you probably know and love such as Target, Walmart, Costco, Whole Foods, Petsmart, Walgreens, Home Depot, Toys R Us, and lots more.

You can order from those retailers via Google Express and even have your pick of some sweet coupon codes if you are a first-time user + you can still stack on the Amex Offer that awards 2,000 bonus Membership Reward points by paying with your registered Amex card. I value 2,000 Membership Reward points at $30+, so that is a great return for your $50+ order. I’ll get to the Google Express first-timer codes in a minute, but first, here’s how I used this promo without spending more than I otherwise would have on household items. While I don’t usually recommend buying more stuff just to take advantage of a promo, I do recommend shifting around the timing of purchases when it means hopping on a good bonus.

Earning 4,000 bonus points without buying extra stuff

I placed two $50+ Google Express orders by using two registered Amex Membership Reward cards that each had this Amex Offer loaded. On one order from Walmart, I got very exciting things like diapers, laundry detergent, some canned fruit, and toddler juice. Those are all items that I needed anyway, so it may have accelerated the purchase timing slightly, but it didn’t add to my shopping list.

On the other order, I used a Google Express first-time orderer discount and placed an order from Whole Foods for some insanely over-priced toddler bubble bath that my kids love and other “fancy pants” snacks I can usually only find at Whole Foods. I ended up paying less than I would at Whole Foods with the discount and earned 2,000 bonus Membership Reward points in the process….plus I didn’t have to leave the couch. Win, win, win.

Google Express discount codes

Some Google Express new customer coupon codes that seem to work are:

  • LETSBUY20 – Save 20% on $30+
  • HOLIDAY15 – Save $15 off $55+ order
  • Save $10 on first order – this is my own referral link, but I don’t think codes stack so I wouldn’t use this one unless the others don’t work for some reason.

Were you able to use this Google Express Amex Offer to rack up bonus points on one (or more) of your Amex cards?
