Right now you can take advantage of some fun JetBlue Flash Sale fares to fly from $20 or 400 JetBlue points each way to and from varies cities around the country. These flash sales are only valid on very specific flights/dates, mostly in late January or February early in the morning or late at night, so they won’t work for everyone, but they are pretty fantastic if you can make them work for you.
You should go check out some of the specific discounted flights and times, but to give you an idea of what is available, here are some of the flash sale prices.
- Boston – Orlando for $40 or 1,900 points + $5.60
- Boston – New Orleans $50 or 2,600 points + $5.60
- Las Vegas – Long Beach $20 or 400 points + $5.60
- JFK – Orlando $40 or 1,900 points + $5.60
- JFK – Cancun $80 or 1,800 points + $33.50
- Newark – West Palm Beach $40 or 1.900 points + $5.60
- San Juan – Ft. Lauderdale $40 or 900 points + $5.60
Being able to fly from just $20 or 400 points is insane, even if it is for a specific flight on a specific date. If you don’t have any JetBlue points in your account right now, remember you can transfer them in from Amex Membership Rewards at a ratio of 250 Membership Reward points = 200 TrueBlue points.
If you use 400 points + $5.60 instead of paying $20 for the cheapest fares you are getting north of 3 cents in value per JetBlue point, so I think that’s the way to go in most cases if you have the points available to you.
If you do purchase a flight with cash, remember that the JetBlue Plus Card awards 6x points on your JetBlue flights, gives you a first free checked bag, and 1/2 off your in-flight JetBlue purchases such as food and cocktails. If you redeem JetBlue points and have that card, then you get 10% of your redeemed points back!
Anyone score a very inexpensive JetBlue flash sale flight?
