Since you can usually only get a particular American Express sign-up bonus once, you want to be sure and get it when the bonus is as big as possible. Sometimes the public sign-up bonuses shoot up across the board and other times the best bonuses are only available via targetted or refer-a-friend offers. Right now there isn’t an increased public sign-up available for the Delta Amex Cards, but through tonight (1/31/18), there are some increased bonuses available via refer-a-friend links.
A few weeks ago I shared the 70,000 mile offer for the Delta Platinum via my refer-a-friend link, but just today I noticed that Josh’s Delta Amex Gold Business Card also has an increased refer-a-friend offer available that awards 50,000 miles after you spend $2,000 or more in the first 3 months and then an additional 10,000 miles after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases on the card in the first 6 months.
That comes to 60,000 total bonus Delta miles with a cumulative $3,000 in spending. The card also awards a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase in the first 3 months and has a $0 introductory annual fee the first year, $95 in subsequent years.
This is a very good offer for this card, and certainly much better than the 30,000 mile public offer that is out right now. If anyone is approved using his refer-a-friend link he will get 10,000 bonus Delta miles (and thanks in advance). If you have this card yourself, you could try and refer your partner, parents, and friends.
A beautiful thing about Amex small business cards is that getting them should not impact your Chase 5/24 status, so if you have been hoping to get this card and increase your Delta SkyMiles balance in the near term, today is a good day to pull the trigger.
The terms indicate that the welcome bonus offer is not available to applicants who have or have had this product, though remember that each Delta Amex card is considered a separate product. I’ve been very happy with our various Delta Amex cards and our decision to start pursuing Delta SkyMiles a few years ago. In fact, we just used Delta SkyMiles to get home from St. Kitts and have selected Delta as our airline for the year on our Amex Platinum Card.
While my money would be on seeing this sort of bonus again at some point, this particular refer-a-friend version is scheduled to end today, January 31, 2018.
