Crazy and pretty unprecedented things have been happening with airfare prices to Hawaii in the last few months…and this is all before Southwest has even announced when and where they will fly. I’m traveling today, so will cut right to the chase and say if you act quickly, you can fly to Hawaii for under $100 each way – no miles required!  This is not a drill, this is a crazy good deal. The cheapest flights are from California, but you will be best served to just hop on Google Flights using a flexible date search to see what you can find for your cities.

My understanding is that Alaska Airlines kicked off this sale, but I am also seeing sub-$100 one-way nonstop flights on United to Hawaii from cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco, too!

To get you started on your search, The Flight Deal lists the following city pairs as being available on Alaska Airlines for under $100 each way on select dates in April and May, but please know that the deals are not limited to these cities.

  • San Francisco [SFO]
    • Kona [KOA]
    • Maui [OGG]
    • Honolulu [HNL]
  • Los Angeles [LAX]
    • Honolulu [HNL]
  • Oakland [OAK]
    • Kona [KOA]
  • San Jose [SJC]
    • Kauai [LIH]
    • Maui [OGG]

If you have the Alaska Airlines Companion Certificate to use, you compile a totally insane deal for two people to head to the Hawaiian Islands! While the best sub-$100 deals I found to Hawaii are from California, I also spotted one-way prices for travel in April and May, including $167 Dallas to Maui, $210 Austin to Honolulu, $140 Las Vegas to Maui, $212 New York City – Maui, and so many more.

Fly to Hawaii for less than $100!

When fares are crazy low like this you might want to consider using fixed value points if you don’t want to pay cash. With the Chase Sapphire Reserve Ultimate Reward points that are worth 1.5 cents each towards travel, you can fly for as few as 6,566 points each direction! Let that sink in, Hawaii for 6,566 miles each way. Normally, an island hopper flight between islands is at least 7,000 United miles per segment, so this is fewer miles to get from the mainland to paradise!

If you do book a trip to Hawaiian paradise, here are a few points-friendly hotel reviews to help you start planning the lodging portion of your trip!

Hyatt Residence Club Maui

I very much hope some of you are able to grab these sub-$100 fares to Hawaii while they last! If you do, please share so I can celebrate with you!
