There are still several weeks of the annual Daily Getaways sale left to go with packages of Hilton points, Wyndham points, Hertz points, and more available this week. I picked up some Choice Privileges points last week and I hope to pick up a few different travel packages as the sale progresses.

Do Daily Getaways Purchases Code as a Travel Charge?

Last week, I paid for my┬áDaily Getaways purchase with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card in hopes that it would code as a travel charge and pay out 3x points for the purchase as a result. Sure enough, the Daily Getaways purchase did code as a travel charge and awarded 3x Ultimate Reward points on the Sapphire Reserve! I’ve already used all of annual $300 travel credit on this card, but my bet is that this charge would have counted against the travel credit if I had some left to use.

If you pick up a Daily Getaways purchase over the next few weeks, I hope this helps you earn a few extra points in the process. Which Daily Getaways packages have caught your eye and which credit card do you plan to use for the purchase?

  1. These offers have become a bit of a joke off late. The quantities are too small and tend to get sold out in seconds. I hope they release more quantities, else it just becomes a waste of time.

  2. I purchased Choice points as well, and they still haven’t credited to my account. I don’t think I even received an email from them. I contacted them yesterday, and haven’t heard back…..anyone ever had this happen. My Visa has been charged.

  3. I totally forgot from last year that they did count as travel with chase so I put choice points on a different card. Good reminder! Thanks!
