Even if you had every good reason for not booking a Memorial Day Weekend getaway, you may now be suffering from some serious BBQ and pool time FOMO. That situation is in full effect at my house, and we are strongly considering booking a staycation night somewhere with a nice pool and included breakfast. If you are in the same situation, it really isn’t too late to hop in the car, on the train, or even on a plane if you are feeling really ambitious to lock in a night or two of long weekend fun.
The truth is that in many spots that are just slightly off the beaten path, hotel rates are actually relatively affordable over Memorial Day Weekend. You can even still use your hotel points at some spots with higher rates including the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio that is selling rooms for $411+ tonight, but they are also available for just 15,000 World of Hyatt points. In case you are looking around your house and realizing you wish you were somewhere else this weekend, here are eight spots across the United States where you can still use hotel points for a quick Memorial Day Weekend staycation or getaway.
Park Hyatt Aviara – 20,000 Hyatt points per night
Hilton San Diego Bayfront – 60,000 Hilton points per night
Hyatt Olive 8 – 15,000 Hyatt points per night
Hyatt Regency Lake Washington – 12,000 Hyatt points per night or 17,000 points per night for Regency Club access
Andaz Fifth Avenue – 25,000 Hyatt points per night
Cassa Hotel – 50,000 Radisson Rewards points per night
Park Hyatt New York – 30,000 Hyatt points per night
Park Hyatt Washington DC 20,000 points per night
Hyatt Place Washington DC 12,000 points per night
W Washington DC 25,000 SPG points per night – paid rates a better deal at $256+ per night
Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort – 15,000 Hyatt points per night
Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass – 10,000 SPG points per night
The Confidante Miami Beach – 15,000 Hyatt points per night
Hyatt Centric South Beach – 15,000 Hyatt points per night
Kimpton EPIC Miami – 55,000 IHG points per night
Remember to check the weather if you are considering a quick trip to Miami, or really anywhere around Florida and the Gulf Coast this weekend thanks to a tropical system. Are you already off relaxing on this long weekend or more like me and still thinking about throwing some bags together and making a last-minute break for it?
