An easy way to earn thousands (or tens of thousands) of additional airline miles every year without flying is by making your purchases through the various online airline shopping sites – especially if you can time your purchases with when bonus miles are on the table.
Earn 1,000 bonus United miles by shopping online
From June 11, 2018 – June 24, 2018, the United MileagePlus Shopping site is offering up to 1,000 bonus United miles for those who make $300 or more in cumulative eligible purchases at retailers via the online United shopping site.
If you don’t need to make quite that many purchases right now, you can earn 500 bonus United miles with $150 in cumulative purchases in the same timeframe. Examples of popular online retailers available in the United shopping site are Target, Walmart, Pottery Barn, J. Crew, Old Navy, Gap, Saks Fifth Avenue, Home Depot, Nordstrom Rack, Hotels.com, and hundreds more.
This bonus isn’t worth jumping on if you didn’t already have purchases to make, but if you need to stock up on some snacks, sandals, and swimsuits for summer, this is a way to turn those purchases and more into some bonus United miles.
Terms and Conditions:
‡ During the “Summer Bonus” campaign, which runs from 06/11/18 through 06/24/18 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 MileagePlus® bonus award miles on qualifying purchases made through the MileagePlus® Shopping mall or from purchases made through MileagePlus® Shopping in-store offers. This one-time bonus award will be determined using one of the following tiers, based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150; or Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $300 or more. The Tier 2 bonus provides the maximum number of miles that will be awarded. Void where prohibited by law.
