My family has earned hundreds of thousands of airline miles by shopping through the various online airline shopping sites. We almost never purchase anything online without first clicking through a site to earn miles. When the various sites are offering 10x miles per dollar spent on purchases you were going to make anyway, those mileage totals can add up very quickly. Start stacking those earnings with what you also earn by paying with your rewards credit card of choice, and all the sudden your next award trip comes into view sooner than you think.

Big mileage bonuses rarely last long, so here are ten opportunities to earn at least ten miles per dollar at popular retailers today.

United MileagePlus Shopping

  • Sephora – 10x miles per dollar (today only)
  • Sunglass Hut – 10x miles per dollar

This 10x miles per dollar is on top of the United MileagePlus Shopping promotion that awards up to 1,000 bonus United miles with $300 or more in cumulative spending from June 11, 2018 – June 24, 2018.

American Airlines AAdvantage Shopping

  • Toms – 10x miles per dollar
  • Coach – 10x miles per dollar
  • Sunglass Hut – 12x miles per dollar
  • Clarks – 10x miles per dollar
  • Sephora – 10x miles per dollar
  • Estee Lauder – 10x miles per dollar
  • Saks Off Fifth – 10x miles per dollar

British Airways eStore

  • Neiman Marcus – 10x miles per dollar

When deciding how to pay for these online purchases, factor in not only the miles your rewards credit card will give you, but also available built-in purchase protections. For example, I’m partial to the Price Rewind site offered by Citi-issued credit cards that can save you money if the price of an eligible item drops within 60 days.

  1. Thank you! I was able to make it to both Sephora and Sunglass Hut before the day ended. I hardly ever shop on the airline portals anymore (mainly use the Chase Ultimate Rewards portals), but at 10x, they have my attention. 🙂
